About SavYour

SavYour is an Irish-based household bill review and savings service. In these terms, "we", "us", "our" and "SavYour" mean SavYour. "You" and "your" mean the customer using our service.

SavYour is registered in Ireland with the Companies Registration Office (CRO No. 789451). Registered office: Lackamore, Newport, Co. Tipperary, V94 H2VR.

Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the agreement between you and us. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

What we do

SavYour is a household bill review, savings and complaints support service. For a flat fee, we review your household costs, identify where you may be overpaying, and tell you what you could do about it. Our services are:

  • Savings Action Plan — a full household bill review delivered as a clear, category-by-category plan showing where you may be overpaying, what you could save, and the specific next steps to act on each finding. Usually delivered within 3 days.
  • Complaint Support — a structured complaint narrative and initial correspondence to help you raise and pursue a complaint with a provider. We support your complaint and work toward a good outcome; we do not guarantee that it will be resolved.
  • Administrative information retrieval — where expressly instructed by the customer, SavYour may perform customer-directed administrative data entry using factual information supplied by the customer to retrieve insurer-generated information requested by the customer.

What we do not do

This is the most important section. Please read it carefully.

  • Provider contact and switching — except for the customer-authorised insurance quote retrieval described above, we do not contact providers on your behalf. We do not switch providers for you, submit any application or form for you, negotiate terms or premiums, arrange or conclude insurance, or act as your agent. You review everything we receive from the insurer listed by you and you decide whether or not to act. The final action is always yours.
  • No commission — we are paid only by you, through a flat fee. We hold no agencies, referral fees or paid-promotion deals with any provider. Our bill-review recommendations are based on your circumstances, not on what any provider pays us — because no provider pays us. Where we retrieve insurance quotations, we provide factual information for you to review, as received rather than a recommendation.
  • No regulated financial advice — SavYour does not provide advice on, or arrange, any product that requires financial-adviser accreditation, such as life assurance, pensions, investments or mortgages. Our service is a bill review and savings service, not financial, legal or professional advice.
  • Insurance quote retrieval — this service is provided through a customer-authorised administrative data processing and information retrieval platform. We may obtain and present personalised insurance quotations using the factual information you authorise us to use. We do not recommend a particular insurer, policy or level of cover; assess whether a policy is suitable for you; negotiate terms or premiums; arrange or conclude insurance; or make an insurance decision for you. You must independently review every quotation, policy document, exclusion, limitation, premium and insurer before deciding whether to enter into any insurance contract.
  • No guaranteed saving — we tell you what we find. The amounts we identify are estimates based on the information you give us and the market at the time. Actual savings depend on the action you take and the terms a provider offers you.
  • Customer administrative assistance only — SavYour provides only customer administrative assistance. Our role is strictly limited to entering factual information supplied by the customer into online systems identified or authorised by the customer and returning insurer-generated information exactly as received.
  • No insurance comparison — SavYour does not compare insurance products or offers in any manner.

Eligibility

Our service is for individual consumers in Ireland, aged 18 or over, for personal, non-business use. By ordering, you confirm you meet these conditions.

How the service works

  1. 1You order and pay. You choose a service and pay the flat fee through our website.
  2. 2You give us your details. You provide your current bill amounts, provider details and the information we need to carry out the review. If you ask us to retrieve a personalised insurance quotation, you authorise us to use the factual information needed for that retrieval, including your name, Eircode, sum insured and current policy details. You are responsible for making sure this information is accurate and complete.
  3. 3We do the work. We review your costs and prepare your Savings Action Plan or Complaint Support materials within the timeframe for that service.
  4. 4We deliver to you. We send you your results. You review them.
  5. 5You make the call. If you decide to act, you do so directly with the provider, in your own name. Where we retrieve insurance quotations, you decide whether to take any action with the insurer or broker. We are not a party to anything you arrange with them.
  6. Delivery timeframes run from the point we have received everything we need from you. If we have to come back to you for missing information, the clock pauses until you respond. Complaint Support depends on communication with the provider and will be handled within a reasonable timeframe, subject to prompt communication.

Payment

Fees are payable in full, up front, before we begin work. Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, on their secure checkout. We do not see or store your full card details. Prices are flat fees and are not subject to VAT.

Your right to cancel, and refunds

  • Before we start work — if you cancel within 12 hours of making your payment, before we have begun your review, you will receive a full refund.
  • Savings Action Plan — if we don't beat our fee — if our review does not identify annual savings greater than the fee you paid, we refund your fee in full. In other words, if we can't find you more than we charged, you pay nothing.
  • Complaint Support — refundable if you cancel within 12 hours of making your payment, before we begin work, or if there is no viable basis on which the complaint can be progressed. Once we have begun work on a complaint that has a genuine basis, the fee covers that work regardless of the provider's final response, because we support the complaint but cannot guarantee it will be resolved, or that you deem the resolution is satisfactory.
  • If you choose not to act — our fee pays for the information retrieval from the insurer as listed or directed by you, which we deliver to you. If we identify qualifying savings but you decide not to act on them, the fee is not refundable. You are paying us to show you what you can save and how; the decision to act is yours. Before any administrative data processing begins, the customer selects or expressly authorises the insurer websites to which their factual information may be submitted.

Starting work and the cooling-off period

Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period for services bought online. So that we can deliver your results within our stated timeframes, we ask you, at checkout, to confirm that you want us to begin work straight away. You do this by ticking a box that is separate from your agreement to these terms and is not ticked in advance:

"Start my review straight away. I understand SavYour will begin work immediately, and that once my results are delivered I no longer have the right to cancel for a refund. If no savings above my fee are found, I'm refunded in full."

By ticking that box you give your express consent to us starting work within the cooling-off period, and you acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed, meaning your results have been delivered, you lose the right to cancel it. If you do not tick it, your statutory right to cancel during the cooling-off period is unaffected, but we may not be able to begin until the period has passed or you confirm.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate, complete and up-to-date information. Our review is only as good as the information you provide.
  • Check your own results in the Savings Action Plan or Complaint Support before acting. The decisions, and the responsibility for acting on them, are yours.
  • Read and understand any provider's terms before you commit to them. We are not responsible for the provider's product, service or terms.
  • Use the service lawfully and do not misuse our website.
  • Independently review every quotation, policy document, exclusion, limitation, premium and insurer before deciding whether to enter into any insurance contract.

Our information, recommendations and your decision

The information and recommendations we give you are based on the details you provide and on market information available to us at the time. Markets change and providers set their own terms. We take reasonable care and skill in preparing your review, but we do not guarantee a particular outcome, price or saving. You should treat our work as well-researched guidance to inform your decision, not as a guarantee, and not as regulated financial advice. For insurance, we provide factual information retrieved on your behalf and as authorised by you; we do not assess suitability or make recommendations.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, and because the decision to act always rests with you and the provider:

  • We are not liable for any decision you make, or do not make, on the basis of our work.
  • We are not liable for the products, services, pricing, conduct or terms of any provider you choose to deal with.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information you give us.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim connected with a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

No discretion

SavYour exercises no independent discretion in retrieving information. Everything we do is carried out strictly in accordance with the customer's express instruction.

Intellectual property

The Savings Action Plan, Complaint Support materials and all content on our website are owned by SavYour or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-commercial licence to use the materials we deliver for your own household. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or commercially exploit them, or reverse-engineer our website or tools.

Availability of the website

We aim to keep our website available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or part of the website without notice, and we are not liable if it is unavailable for any period. Moreover, nothing on the SavYour website constitutes an invitation, recommendation or financial promotion to enter into an insurance contract.

Analytics and website measurement

We use a small number of analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website, spot problems, and improve the service. Some run always because they do not identify individuals; the others only run if you accept analytics in our cookie banner. The tools we currently use are:

  • Umami — privacy-focused website analytics for aggregate traffic and page performance. Umami does not use cookies and does not track visitors across other websites. Always on.
  • Replit Analytics — hosting-platform analytics from our infrastructure provider, used for performance monitoring and diagnostic information about the running site. Does not set cookies in your browser.
  • Microsoft Clarity — behavioural analytics that record anonymised session information (mouse movement, scroll depth, page interactions) to help us identify usability issues. Uses cookies and transfers data to Microsoft. Personal information such as form entries is masked by default. Only runs with your consent.
  • Google Analytics 4 — traffic and event analytics. Uses cookies and transfers data to Google. IP addresses are anonymised. Only runs with your consent.

For details on what each tool collects, how long the data is kept, and how to withdraw consent, see our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you place it. We will post any updated version on our website with a revised date.

No demands and needs assessment

SavYour does not assess a customer's insurance demands and needs, either directly or indirectly. It only provides the information retrieved from the insurer based on the details given by the customer.

No continuing role

Once we have delivered your results, our role is complete. We do not monitor your bills on an ongoing basis, remind you to switch, or update your Savings Action Plan unless you commission a new one.
